Kurt W. Gensmer

Kurt has been in emergency services for over 30 years. He started training in Law Enforcement in the mid-70’s. During that time he also began his career in Fire/Rescue joining the Bloomington Rescue Squad where he served in the following positions; Rescuer, Equipment Officer, Training Officer, Lieutenant, and Captain. Kurt also worked for the Hennepin Technical College as lead Rescue and OSHA compliance instructor and on the HTC burn team. For 7 years he was rescue coordinator for the Minnesota State Fire School.

Kurt is trained and certified as a Rescue Technician in confined space, High Level/ Low Angle rescue, Emergency Building Collapse, Emergency Building Shoring and Rescue, Trench Rescue, Vehicle Extrication and is a certified Firefighter I&II, Emergency Medical Technician and Hazardous Materials Technician. Kurt co-founded Rescue Resources Inc. in 1993 and brought it to its present state Rescue Resources, Inc. of MN in 2006.

Kris Gensmer

Kris joined Rescue Resources in 2006 as a part-time rescue technician.  Since then he has contributed to training both RRI staff and our customers in rescue and medical courses.  Kris is a Nationally Registered Paramedic and has been working and teaching for Allina Health Emergency Medical Services ® since 2011.  He has extensive teaching experience and is Training Center Faculty for the American Heart Association, teaching providers and instructors in classes like CPR, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and more.  In October of 2021 Kris was promoted to Captain of Training and Operations. In his current role he is responsible for maintaining performance standards for our team and expanding the educational curriculum that Rescue Resources provides.

Laurie Pyle

Laurie is a Nationally Registered Paramedic. Her training and certifications also include Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support ACLS), Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) instructor, Trench Rescue, Emergency Building Collapse, Emergency Building Shoring and Rescue, Confined Space Rescue and High Level / Low Angle Rescue. Laurie has been with Rescue Resources since 1995.
