Minimum requirements 3 years working experience in fire/rescue
First Responder medical training
Be able to tie life safety knots
Be able to rig basic mechanical advantage systems
Be able to work well with others to achieve a common goal
Be able to take and follow directions but also be self motivated
Be able and willing to perform physically challenging tasks in hazardous conditions, in all weather conditions, and extremely tight quarters.
Be able to perform tasks at heights while on rope
Must be able to pass fit test for SCBA and cartridge respirator
Be physically able to perform rescue duties

  • Survive an interview with the officers.
    ***During the interview be prepared to show an aptitude for rope work by tying any number of the 11 life safety knots used by Rescue Resources and rig a simple 4:1 or 3:1 Z.***

  • Submit to a background check.

    • ***Rescue Resources will provide continuing training up to the rescue technician level and in advanced emergency medical skills. Throughout each year you must demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of rescue and medical training through skills testing.***
